“The Past, Present, and Future of 女性’s Studies” Conference
In the Spring of 2023, students in Dr. Ruth Osorio’s “历史 of US 女性’s Activism” class organized and convened a conference celebrating the past, 现在, and future of 女性’s Studies at ODU.
Students Create Online Map that Highlights 维吉尼亚州 女性’s STEM Contributions
A women in 技术 class, taught by Ruth Osorio, created a map with pinned entries detailing the contributions of women in 维吉尼亚州 to the science, 技术, engineering and math fields.
Refugee Studies RESEARCH: 学习 by helping
A service-learning course, sponsored by ODU's 女性的 and 性别RESEARCH department, focused on learning about refugee communities, researching the complex issues they navigate and helping them resettle in Hampton Roads.
Tidewater Queer 历史 Project
Tidewater Queer 历史 Project is an academic/community partnership. A dedicated group of core volunteers works to collect and preserve LGBTQ history in and around Hampton Roads, 维吉尼亚州.
We are a community that cares deeply about social justice in every aspect of life.
