Determining ADA Status

  2. has a record of such impairment; or
  3. is regarded as having such an impairment.

Reasonable Accommodations

What is a "Reasonable Accommodation"?

合理的适应是对工作的修改或调整, employment practice, 或者工作环境,使合格的残疾人能够享受平等的就业机会. ODU将为合格申请人或雇员的已知残疾提供合理的便利,除非该便利会造成不适当的困难. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • modified work schedules
  • obtaining or modifying equipment or devices
  • 修改考试、培训材料或政策
  • reassignment to a vacant position
  • 使设施方便残疾人使用

合理的调整是对政策的合理修改, practices, or procedures, 为避免基于残疾的歧视,有必要作出修改时, 除非这些修改会从根本上改变大学服务的性质, program or activity.

  • extended time for testing
  • permitting priority seating
  • allowing unanticipated class absences
